Cyber specialists from the Security Service of Ukraine have uncovered two agents of the FSB operating in the Kyiv region. Father and son, who were recruited, were planning missile strikes by the Russian Federation on the capital region.

In particular, they were leaking the geolocations of the deployment of the Defense Forces, including military personnel of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The perpetrators also provided the FSB with coordinates of industrial workshops producing Ukrainian drones.

Based on the revelations of the suspects, the aggressors planned targeted missile strikes on Ukrainian targets.

However, the Security Service thwarted their intentions. As a result of a special operation in the Kyiv region, both agents were exposed, their criminal actions documented, and they were apprehended. Concurrently, measures were taken to secure units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and production facilities of the defense-industrial complex.

Among other things, these FSB agents were carrying out a specific task of the Russian special service – searching for the remains of Russian invaders who perished during the battles for Kyiv.

The suspects collected fragments of the invaders' bodies in containers, then transported them to forested areas in the capital region and buried them. Afterward, they sent the FSB a corresponding "report" with references to the locality and coordinates of the burial site of the remains.

As the investigation found out, the detainees had previously served in law enforcement agencies. After being discharged, they were remotely recruited by an FSB personnel officer who "noticed" the traitors after their anti-Ukrainian comments on YouTube.

At the initial stages of cooperation with the Russian forces, the son of one of the detainees even conducted online training sessions in tactical medicine for members of the Russian "Akhmat" group. For the completed tasks, the traitors received monetary "compensation" from the Russians into their personal bank cards.

During the searches of the detainees, mobile phones, and other material evidence of criminal activity were found.

Currently, the Security Service investigators have informed both suspects of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed during a state of war).

The perpetrators are in custody and face life imprisonment.

The special operation was carried out by the SSU employees under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General's Office.
