In 2020, there were 12 new markets opened, 35 export certificates were agreed and 2 EU audits on the evaluation of the state control system over the production of fish and fishery products, poultry meat and products thereof were conducted.


This was announced by the Head of the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP) – Mrs. Vladyslava Magaletska, during a public report on the activities of the SSUFSCP in 2020.

According to Mrs. Vladyslava Magaletska, in 2020 the active work with regards of open 100 new markets on six continents have been carried out.

We are talking about Ukraine's traditional foreign economic partners - the EU, China, the United States, India, as well as other, which are less used by Ukrainian exporters – i.e. Mexico, Australia, Brazil, Angola, etc

In addition, during 2020, we have been performing activities on concluding international agreements in the fields of sanitary and phytosanitary measures and consumer protection with the following countries: Brazil, Algeria, Indonesia, Vietnam, Iran, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Lebanon, Greece, Germany, Sweden and Georgia.

It was prepared for signing and obtained the permission of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to sign the Agreement between the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Resources of the Republic of Northern Macedonia on cooperation in the field of quarantine and plant protection.

As of today we are continuing to work with international partners to expand trade in various products, including poultry products, live cattle and small ruminants, beef and pork, milk and dairy products, honey, apples, blueberries and cherries, peas and beans, onions, wheat flour, fish and fishery products, reproductive material.

The SSUFSCP plays an important role in the efficiency of Ukrainian exports. Its task is to overcome technical barriers to trade and provide state guarantees for compliance with the requirements of importing countries.
