After the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 47 athletes died in our country.
The Sports Committee of Ukraine has launched a website with information about them.
It is noted that most athletes died in battle while performing tasks.
Among the dead are minor athletes:
- 14-year-old weightlifter Alina Peregudova;
- 16-year-old sambist Artem Priymenko;
- 11-year-old gymnast Ekaterina Dyachenko.
