The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria has announced that it is expelling four Russian diplomats from Vienna for activities in favor of special services.

This is stated in the department's statement, "European Truth" writes.

"Two diplomats of the Russian Embassy have committed actions incompatible with their diplomatic status. Therefore, they have been declared personas non grata following Article 9 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations," the statement reads.

"Two diplomats of the Permanent Mission of Russia to the UN committed actions incompatible with the Agreement on the location of the headquarters. They must also leave the territory of the Republic of Austria," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Four Russian diplomats must leave the territory of Austria by one week, that is, by February 8.

  • Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen arrived in Ukraine on February 1. He visited Bucha, and met with President Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as handed over generators and announced the allocation of 5 million euros for the restoration of damaged energy infrastructure.
