Medvedchuk’s yacht was handed over to Agency for Tracing and Asset Management

The court handed over the arrested yacht “Royal Romance” of Viktor Medvedchuk to the Asset Recovery and Management Agency or ARMA. This is reported by “Ukrainian Pravda”.

The 92.5m/303’6″ motor yacht ‘Royal Romance’ was built by Feadship in the Netherlands at their Makkum shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Seymour Diamond and she was delivered to her owner in July 2015. This luxury vessel’s exterior design is the work of De Voogt and she was last refitted in 2020.

The decision was made on April 11, 2022 by the investigating judge of the Lychakovsky District Court of Lviv Serhiy Girich. On March 16, 2022, Medvedchuk’s yacht was seized in criminal proceedings 222016130000000212.

Five-deck yacht “Royal Romance” Medvedchuk was in the port of Rijeka in Croatia.

On July 8, 2021, Slidstvo.Info investigative journalists reported that in March, the Royal Romance yacht, owned by the family of Viktor Medvedchuk, an MP from the Opposition Platform for Life, changed hands to avoid Ukrainian sanctions.

The Royal Romance yacht was owned by Fregata Marine Ltd, registered in the Marshall Islands. Its ultimate beneficiary was Medvedchuk’s wife, Oksana Marchenko.

On February 27, Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko announced that Medvedchuk had escaped from house arrest.

On the same day, Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova noted that the prosecutor’s office was checking where Medvedchuk was.
