The occupiers called the Mariupol resident, cultural figure, and founder of the Children's Film Festival Olga Novikova through her son's account on social networks and reported that her son Aleksey Novikov was in captivity.

The boy is currently being held near the village of Maloyanisol, he served in the territorial defense. Alexey is included in the list of prisoners.

Such actions by Russia are nothing but terrorism in accordance with the International Convention for the Suppression of the Taking of Hostages, adopted in New York on December 17, 1979, the 2005 Council of Europe Convention on the Prevention of Terrorism and War Crimes under Article 8 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
