The Ukrainian Armed Forces requested long-range MGM-140 ATACMS missiles from the United States.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) will strike the Crimean Bridge when they receive the long-range missiles needed to do so, such as MGM-140 ATACMS.

This opinion was expressed by the well-known military expert Oleg Zhdanov, answering the relevant question.

The Crimean bridge is waiting in the wings. I’ll say right away: if there are weapons, there will be strikes on the Crimean bridge. We are waiting for the arrival of ATACMS missiles or some other analogs.

ATACMS long-range missiles for Ukraine

Earlier, it was reported that the United States is still not inclined to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with long-range ATACMS missiles, which they have requested for several months.

Representatives of the Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly appealed to international partners, in particular the United States of America, about the need for Ukraine to receive ATACMS missiles, which are designed to destroy certain objects at a distance of up to 300 kilometers.

It was noted that even the delivery of 100 ATACMS missiles to Ukraine in the short term could significantly affect the balance of power. Their use can make it possible to cut the main supply routes considerably from the front line.

Experts are confident that the new weapons will open unprecedented opportunities for Ukraine. The Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to hit all military targets within their country, including in Crimea and the Black Sea. Moreover, additional equipment to run ATACMS is no longer required.
