Syria, Libya, Chechnya - military clashes in these countries have exhausted the Russian Federation over the past 30 years.

Military expert Oleg Zhdanov noted an important factor that suggests that Russia will soon be fighting with ammunition from the Second World War. Over the past 30 years, the Russian Federation has spent too many weapons in Georgia, Chechnya, Syria, and Libya.

"These are big problems for the Russian army. We made a mistake in our assessment. By the way, we are all the time nodding at Western analysts, saying they were mistaken. The fact is that no one took into account such a small nuance as the wars that the Russian Federation has waged over these 30 years : starting with two Chechen wars and the second Chechen one - the consumption of ammunition was simply unlimited. Thousands of tons were laid out on the ground - this is a concept in artillery. Then there was a war in Georgia, then there was a war in Syria, then there were military clashes in Libya and now the war in Ukraine," Zhdanov said.

The Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that the Russian Federation has millions of ammunition. Still, there is a caveat: these are ancient ammunition from the Second World War.

"They lie for 50 years, and I will say in human language: they are in a terrible state. But today, you see, Russia is resorting to any methods in order to ensure its firepower - that is, they can just detonate in their warehouses," Zhdanov added.
