Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov said that about 86 people can now be subject to verification for compliance with the criteria defined by the so-called "law on oligarchs".

The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko, Minister of Justice of Ukraine Denys Malyuska, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrskyi, Head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine Olha Pishchanska, acting. Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Malyuk, officials of the National Security Service of Ukraine.
It is reported that Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov held a meeting on the state of implementation of the Law of Ukraine "On the Prevention of Threats to National Security Associated with Excessive Influence of Persons Having Significant Economic and Political Weight in Public Life (Oligarchs)".
According to him, the Regulation defines the implementation of the organizational principles of the system to prevent the excessive influence of oligarchs and the procedure for applying influence measures to them. The formation and maintenance of the Register is ensured by the Apparatus of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
The meeting participants discussed information on the main stages of formation and maintenance of the Register, as well as problematic issues of implementing the mentioned Law. Danilov emphasized the importance of strengthening interdepartmental cooperation to increase the efficiency of its implementation.
Recall that the law on oligarchs, which provided for the creation of an appropriate register, was adopted in the fall of 2021.
