Actor Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in the "Star Wars" saga, will sell autographed movie posters to raise money for drones for the Armed Forces. Politico reported this.

"We've decided to sign a limited number of Star Wars posters. For true hardcore collectors — especially those with sufficient income — there's a lot more money to be had… than you can imagine," the actor said in a statement to the publication.

Exactly how the posters will be put up for sale has yet to be decided. The sale is expected to occur on the eve of the anniversary of the war in Ukraine on February 24.

Hamill also noted that he last sold autographed items in 2017, when Star Wars: The Last Jedi was released.

"It's just not what I do," he said, adding that he was happy to do it to support Ukraine, whose long struggle against Russia "can't help but inspire."

Mark Hamill began working with the United24 platform in September 2022 after a Zoom phone conversation with President Volodymyr Zelensky. "He is the first ambassador who will help raise funds to support our defenders, for the "Drone Army," the president said later in Telegram posts.

In October, he raised funds to purchase more than 500 drones. And in December, he voiced signals in English in the "Air Alarm" application. Hamill's voice announces five types of danger: missile attack, artillery fire, street fighting, radiation and chemical threats. The actor also added iconic Star Wars quotes to the alarm cancellation notifications.
