The first medal of Ukraine at the European Youth Fencing Championship
Anastasia Samko won “bronze” in the personal championship of swordsmen.
In the quarterfinals, the woman from Kyiv defeated the Romanian Alexandra Predescu in the extra minute – 10:9, and in the semifinals she lost minimally to Reci Galfalvi from Hungary – 14:15.
The European U23 Fencing Championships are held in Tallinn from 27 to 31 May. 20 athletes at these competitions represent Ukraine.

Wow. Thank you for this update. I have been busy these past few months, so I wasn’t aware of the European Youth Fencing Championship results. Well, cheers to Anastasia’s win. My daughter joined a club last year. So, I got to research and get some updates about the sports. Indeed, my daughter would be more motivated after knowing this news. Congratulations to everyone who joined the tournament; you guys are all amazing!
