The Ukrainian company A3tech-Ukraine now fully manufactures the working components for demining machines from the Croatian firm DOK-ING. As a result, the localization level of the machines has surpassed 10%. Most importantly, repairs to this equipment after field explosions now take significantly less time.

"In the spring, the company tested the first demining machine localized in Ukraine. At that time, plans were announced to begin independent production of the working components for DOK-ING demining machines. By the end of the year, this was achieved. Thanks to this, the company was able to quickly return at least several MV-4 and MV-10 machines, which had been damaged in the fields, to work. The most seriously damaged MV-4 light demining machine was repaired in 12 days. This is many times faster than if we had to wait for specialists and components from Croatia," said Ihor Bezkaraivny, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

In total, A3tech-Ukraine, which is a partner of Croatian DOK-ING, assembled eight heavy MV-10 demining machines and repaired 10 machines after explosions and technical failures in 2024. As a result, deminers received more equipment ready for work and were able to resume using repaired machines much faster.

"Manufacturing demining machine parts in Ukraine allows us to reduce the cost of such equipment. For example, the hammer for the working shaft is nearly twice as cheap as the Croatian equivalent. And for each machine, almost 50 of these are required. Thanks to this, the State Emergency Service (DSNS), which held tenders for the purchase of parts for DOK-ING demining machines, paid 30% less than if these services were ordered directly from the Croatian manufacturer. This means a saving of 5 million for the state budget," said Marat Mintz, Director of "A3tech-Ukraine."

In total, there are more than 50 DOK-ING demining machines operated by both private and government operators in Ukraine. The largest batch of these machines was received by DSNS this autumn – 20 MV-10 machines were purchased and handed over to the deminers by partners.

In the autumn, DOK-ING opened a representative office in Ukraine. The company aims to speed up the demining process by exchanging experiences and technologies.
