As of 10 a.m. on April 11, 2022, according to the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations and other sources that need confirmation, 183 (+6 per day) children have died and 342 children (+6 per day) have been injured since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began.

It is impossible to establish the actual number of dead and wounded children due to the fact that the occupying forces are actively fighting in Ukrainian cities.

An adult and a 9-year-old child were injured in another attack on Ugledar in Donetsk region. A girl with a gunshot wound to the eye was sent to the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Children's Hospital.

In the Kharkiv region, the city of Balakleya came under enemy fire - one child died.

It became known that the little girl from Mariupol received shrapnel wounds while she and her mother were evacuated from the city of Mariupol in the Donetsk region. The child stepped on the enemy stretching.

As a result of artillery shelling by the russian military in the village of Stanislav, Belozersky District, Kherson Oblast, a 14-year-old girl received a gunshot wound to the neck with spinal cord injury.

The bodies of children killed by racists continue to be found in Kyiv region: the body of a 15-year-old boy with a shot to the head was found in Vorzel; in the village of Rozvahiv, Vyshhorod district, Kyiv region, two boys aged 12 and 14 died from their injuries; in Borodyanka, a family with a 5-year-old child died as a result of the shelling. Their bodies have only just been discovered.

To date, daily bombings and shelling have damaged 938 educational institutions, 87 of which have been completely destroyed.

At a school in the village of Katyuzhanka, Vyshhorod district, Kyiv region, the occupiers destroyed the school, took everything from expensive computer equipment to furniture and left a cynical message to schoolchildren wishing them a good education.

In the courtyard of the school, the racists buried the citizens they shot.

Such actions by the russian occupation forces are a direct violation of the Hague and Geneva Conventions and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during Russia's Military Invasion of Ukraine and the expert mission set up by the OSCE participating States under the Moscow Mechanism to take into account these facts of war crimes and crimes against humanity and violations of children's rights in Ukraine.

I call on international partners to close the skies over Ukraine and provide weapons to fight the aggressor country of Russia!
