In the ballistic missile launched by Russia in Ukraine, experts found 290 components produced by over 25 foreign companies.

This was reported by the director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, Oleksander Ruvin, on Telegram.

According to Rubin, the British Conflict Armament Research (CAR), in collaboration with Kyiv Scientific Research Institute specialists, prepared a report on the investigation of parts and fragments of the missiles and strike drones.

"Indeed, in just one object identified as a sample of a North Korean ballistic missile, 290 components of foreign microelectronics were found. The majority of these elements provide missile navigation and are manufactured by over 25 companies headquartered in the USA, China, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, and others," noted the institute's director.

He also emphasized that imported microelectronics form the basis of all types of Russian missiles.

"Thus, the conclusions of Ukrainian and foreign experts confirm the importance of controlling the export of commercial electronic components and, at the same time, the dependence of the aggressor country Russia on foreign technologies," Ruvin remarked.

According to him, the investigation of foreign components is conducted to strengthen sanctions pressure on Russia, provide substantiated evidence of Russian crimes, enable their presentation by the Ukrainian government on the international stage, and garner greater support for Ukraine from foreign partners.

"Implementing corresponding measures significantly affects the reduction of Russia's economic and military potential," he underscored.

As reported, the Unified Database of Foreign Components in Arms contains over 2,000 components used by Russia and Iran in various types of weapons and military equipment.
