The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine has approved the list of the official delegation for the 2024 Olympic Games. Out of 140 athletes, seven represent the Odessa region.

In July, three athletes from the Odessa region were added to the list of Olympians. Previously reported, defender Volodymyr Salyuk from FC Chornomorets was included in the expanded roster of Ukraine's football team (22 players), and he has been confirmed in the main squad of Ukraine's team (18 players) according to the official delegation list published by the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine. Another footballer from the Odessa region, Maxim Bragaru, who transferred from FC Chornomorets to Dynamo Kyiv this offseason, also made it into the top 18 of Ukraine's squad.

Another Olympian is 28-year-old freestyle wrestler Vasyl Mykhailov. Due to neutral athletes declining to compete in wrestling events at the Olympic Games, Ukraine earned the right to compete in the "up to 86 kg" category, for which Vasyl competed in the world and continental qualifiers. Following the control matches, he was approved to participate in the Olympic Games, marking his second appearance.

Therefore, a total of 7 athletes from the Odessa region will participate in the 2024 Olympic Games: rifle shooter Irina Malovychko, silver medalist of the 2023 World Championships (coach: Mykola Milchev), who secured her qualification in September 2022 as the first in Ukraine; sabre fencers and silver medalists from the 2016 Olympic Games, Olena Kravatska and Alina Komashchuk; tennis semifinalist at the 2024 Australian Open, Dayana Yastremska; and bronze medalists of the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship in football, Volodymyr Salyuk and Maxim Bragaru.
