A 20-year-old volunteer from the Norwegian municipality of Ibestad has died in the war in Ukraine.
This information was reported by iHarstad, citing Mayor Jim Christiansen.
"It is extremely sad when something like this happens," the mayor wrote.
According to Christiansen, news of the defender's death became known on Tuesday, December 12. iHarstad has reached out to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is still working on gathering information about the incident.
