Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will operate flights between Odessa and Abu Dhabi on new Airbus A321neo aircraft, which are designed to carry 239 passengers. This is the maximum capacity of the airliner, which is why it will be pretty crowded in ordinary rows for people with a height above average.
The flight to Abu Dhabi was one of the top wishes of passengers at Odessa airport, said the commercial director of the enterprise Vyacheslav Cheglatonev. According to him, this is the 11th new direction this year and the 38th direction in general on the map of Odessa airport.
According to the initial plans, the low-cost airline planned to fly from Abu Dhabi to Odessa on October 1, 2020, but repeatedly postponed the launch of flights. The airline explained this by low demand.
On July 3, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi opened regular flights on the first route to Ukraine Abu Dhabi-Kyiv. The low-cost airline flew to Boryspil airport, although Zhulyany is the base airport for Wizz Air in Kyiv. This was because the Airbus A321neo can only take off with a full load from the longer strip of Boryspil.
