In one of Berlin’s largest shopping centers — Gesundbrunnen-Center Berlin — the public organization Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin e.V. has opened a Ukrainian charity shop that combines philanthropy with cultural diplomacy.
This was reported on Facebook by the Embassy of Ukraine in Germany.
The shop features a wide variety of Ukrainian folk art — drawings by children and veterans, handmade souvenirs, and works by Ukrainian artisans. All items are for sale, and the proceeds will go to support frontline medics, evacuation transport, and other urgent needs in Ukraine.
A special part of the space is the exhibition Sensitive Content, created with the support of the Association of Spouses of Ukrainian Diplomats.
This exhibition has already been shown at international book fairs in London and Leipzig, as well as at the Berlin State Library. It includes destroyed furniture from libraries in Chernihiv and Kyiv, painted white as a symbol of “blurred” content that tries to conceal war crimes but remains a daily reality for millions of Ukrainians.
The charity shop is open Monday to Saturday, from 12:00 to 20:00. The Embassy invites Berlin residents and visitors to join the initiative to support Ukraine.
