The Chief of Staff of the Artillery of the 4th Brigade "Rubezh," Denis Nahornyi, revealed that Russian occupying forces significantly outnumber the Defense Forces in the use of artillery ammunition.
He shared this information during an interview with Espresso.
"On the Bakhmut direction, neither side has tactical successes. The war has now become static. Most of the front line is engaged in artillery ping-pong, exchanging projectiles. Unfortunately, this situation is not in our favor. Up until the New Year, for every 7,000 shots we fired, the Russians responded with 10,000 of their own. Now, we are using 2,000 rounds, while the Russians employ over 12,000," Nahornyi explained.
According to Nahornyi, to enhance counter-battery capabilities, more reconnaissance drones are needed.
"The Defense Forces maintain parity with the occupiers in the use of drones, encompassing all types of UAVs. While there is always a shortage, we are not inferior to the Russians in this aspect. Moreover, I want to emphasize that counter-battery warfare will be more effective in cooperation with reconnaissance drones. Therefore, it is crucial to equip our units with drones of all types, from FPV to reconnaissance drones," he added.
