The Air Defense Forces destroyed 53 Shahed-131/136 attack drones launched by the Russians against Ukraine on the evening of September 15.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
From 8:00 PM on September 15 to 6:00 AM on September 16, the radio-technical troops of the Air Force detected and tracked 56 attack drones launched from Kursk and Yeysk.
The main target of the strike was the Kyiv region.
The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups from the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As a result of the air battle, 53 enemy attack drones were shot down in the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Poltava, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Cherkasy regions.
