On the night of May 29 (from 23:20 on May 28), the Russian forces launched an attack with 90 strike drones of the Shahed type and various types of decoy drones from the directions of Millerovo, Oryol, and Kursk — Russian Federation.
The distinctive feature of this air strike is that it targeted objects in frontline territories.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 09:30, air defense forces had neutralized 56 Shahed drones (and other types of drones) in the east and north of the country. 10 were shot down by fire weapons, and 46 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare systems.
Hits from the Russian air attack were recorded at nine frontline locations in the Sumy, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions.
