On the night of June 30 (starting at 10:00 p.m. on June 29), the Russian forces launched an attack using 107 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and various types of decoy drones from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), as well as Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea).
The main targets of the attack were Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.
The aerial assault was repelled by aviation, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
As of 9:00 a.m., air defense had neutralized 74 Shahed-type UAVs (and other types of drones) over the north, east, and south of the country. Of these, 64 were shot down by kinetic means, while 10 were lost or suppressed by electronic warfare.
Russian aerial weapons hit 15 locations, and debris from downed drones fell in 2 locations.
