On the night of January 13, Russians carried out another massed shelling against Ukraine. The air defense forces destroyed 8 missiles.

The Russian forces used the following during the attack on Ukraine:

  • Cruise, aeroballistic, ballistic, aviation, and guided anti-aircraft missiles.
  • Strike UAVs.

In total, 40 Russian air attack assets were recorded, including:

  • 7 guided anti-aircraft missiles S-300/S-400 from the Belgorod region of Russia.
  • 3 strike UAVs "Shahed-136/131" from the Kursk region of Russia.
  • 6 aeroballistic missiles Kh-47M2 "Kinjal" from six MiG-31K aircraft (launch area - Tambov, Russia).
  • Up to 12 cruise missiles Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 from 11 Tu-95MS strategic bombers (launch area - Caspian Sea, Russia).
  • 6 cruise missiles Kh-22 from Tu-22M3 bombers from the Bryansk region, Russia.
  • 2 guided aviation missiles Kh-31P from two Su-35 aircraft (launch area - temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region).
  • 4 guided aviation missiles Kh-59 from two Su-34 aircraft (launch area - Bryansk region, Russia).

The air defense system destroyed 8 airborne targets, including:

  • 7 cruise missiles Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55.
  • 1 guided aviation missile Kh-59.

"Active electronic countermeasures (REB) were used against more than 20 of all the listed air attack assets, which did not enter the statistics of shot down and did not reach their targets due to active radio-electronic warfare measures," according to the Air Force press service.

As noted by the Air Force, Russian missiles are becoming increasingly unpredictable, causing them to fly "who knows where." However, this does not mean that they do not pose a threat; on the contrary.

"Therefore, be vigilant, do not ignore the alarm, especially when dealing with the use of 'ballistics'," the press service adds.
