The Russian military-political leadership is setting more deadlines for their subordinates in the combat zones, all of which lead to the fetish date of May 9th. The main task is assigned to General Lapin, regarding the Kursk region - to bring it fully under Moscow’s control by May 9th. This time, things are much more serious, so if Lapin fails, it will suddenly be revealed that he is a corrupt individual who has profited off the military, with all the consequences that follow.

Regarding the Kursk region, Vladimir Putin is losing patience, first and foremost because it is unacceptable to face May 9th with an uncontrollable part of one’s own territory – it just doesn’t look victorious. Additionally, the Kremlin plans to invite several allies to Red Square, including Xi Jinping. But that’s not all.

Putin himself plans to use his speech not only to commemorate the victory over "Ukrainian Nazis" and the "liberation" of Kursk, but also to thank the North Korean brothers, and personally, Comrade Kim Jong Un.

Moreover, Putin will not engage in any negotiation processes while in a vulnerable negotiating position, and the uncontrollable part of the Kursk region is precisely that. Negotiations are critical for him, for a break and to regain strength, so this is a double-edged sword.

The Kremlin hopes that the second batch of North Korean troops will help solve the Kursk issue and expect their delivery soon. If Comrade Kim Jong Un does not let Putin down, we can expect significant intensification of hostilities in the Kursk region in the second half of March.
