Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated that Ukraine is a priority in Finland's foreign and security policy. He made this remark during his speech at the Ambassadors' Days in Helsinki, according to Yle.

Stubb reminded that the war initiated by Russia has been ongoing for a long time, but the support for Ukraine must not weaken.

"Ukraine's victory in the war and the achievement of a just and lasting peace, which it strives for, align with our values and interests," said the Finnish President.

He warned that if Russia succeeds in the war, Europe will face a prolonged period of instability.

"And not just Europe—the consequences will be global," Stubb emphasized.

He also noted that relations between Finland and Russia have changed, but in the future, a way will need to be found to coexist with the neighbor.

"We do not define our foreign and security policy solely through Russia. There will be no return to the past. I hope that in the future, Russia will be able to live without posing a threat to its neighbors," Stubb said.
