Ukraine has the full right to carry out military operations in the Kursk region, given the current situation and developments. Finland sees no reason to restrict Ukraine in this matter.
This was stated by Finnish President Alexander Stubb during a press conference on the Åland Islands, as reported by Yle.
He reminded that Russia constantly shells Ukraine and has occupied almost 20% of its territory — that’s why Ukraine has every right to defend itself by advancing into the Kursk region.
"Ukraine is defending itself in the Kursk direction, having penetrated approximately 30-40 kilometers deep into the country with certain forces, and they (Ukrainians) have full rights to do so. We see no reason to limit Ukrainian actions," he said.
Stubb also mentioned that Ukraine has the right to use Finnish weapons on Russian territory.
"We have no restrictions on what weapons and how Ukraine can use them," he noted.
The Finnish President added that the reason for this decision is that Ukraine has the full right to defend itself against Russian aggression within the framework of international law.
