In the Bryansk region of Russia, on the night of October 9, an arsenal storing weapons might have been attacked. The depot reportedly contained ammunition from North Korea and guided aerial bombs.
This was reported by Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the NSDC, via Telegram.
According to him, near the town of Karachev in the Bryansk region, the 67th GRAU arsenal (Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense), the closest to the frontline, was hit. The arsenal is located 114 km from the Ukrainian border.
Kovalenko stated that the depot contained ammunition, including from North Korea, as well as guided aerial bombs (ПABs), some of which were stored in the open air.
Additionally, in September, Ukrainian forces attacked two large arsenals storing missiles and shells in the Tver region of Russia and a significant ammunition depot in the Krasnodar region.
During the night of October 9, explosions were reported in the Bryansk region. Online reports described a fire with detonation, accompanied by video footage. The regional governor claimed the attack was carried out by drones.
It was also reported that the 67th GRAU arsenal in Bryansk was hit, though Ukrainian forces have not yet commented on the explosions.
