Andrei Piontkovsky, an American political scientist, noted that, unlike Russia, Xi Jinping expressed condolences to the victims of the terrorist acts that occurred in Israel and stated that such behavior is absolutely unacceptable and cannot be justified. He shared this opinion during an interview on Espresso TV.

"Beijing is also monitoring the situation, and it seems to have realized that this move by its new two fascist friends, Iran and Russia, is a flawed one. Strange events are occurring in U.S.-China relations. At the beginning of this week, after the events in Israel, there was a meeting between a delegation of American senators, led by Senate Democratic Leader Schumer, and Xi Jinping," the political scientist reported.

According to him, Xi Jinping used a grandiose Chinese-style expression during the meeting, saying that he could provide a thousand reasons why U.S.-China relations should thrive and develop, but he had no reason for them to become hostile states. It's a very interesting formula.

Furthermore, an amazing development occurred: Xi Jinping made a statement on the events in Israel just a few hours before this meeting. It was a general statement, calling for de-escalation and a peaceful solution. Schumer pointed out that he would like the Chinese people to express their outrage at the horrific atrocities carried out by terrorist groups. And something incredible happened – Xi Jinping agreed and revised his statement. Unlike Russia, he expressed condolences to the victims and stated that such behavior is absolutely unacceptable and cannot be justified," noted Andrey Piontkovsky.

The analyst added that now everyone is waiting for Xi Jinping's participation in the Pacific summit to be held in San Francisco. Recently, the White House stated that it does not rule out the possibility of a meeting between Xi Jinping and Biden during the summit.

"So, Russia has unequivocally painted itself into a corner, aligning itself with Iran and the butchers who wreaked havoc on Israel's territory. I don't know how Moscow will extricate itself from this situation," Piontkovsky remarked.
