On Monday, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, presented the philosophy behind each point of President Zelensky's Peace Formula during a meeting with representatives of Ukrainian and foreign media. This philosophy was shared by the Ukrainian side with participants of the consultations in Jeddah on August 5-6.
"We have formulated our joint vision for each of the ten points of President Zelensky's Peace Formula. It is a shared vision because, through extensive consultations at various levels, the positions of the majority of countries participating in the implementation of Ukraine's peace initiative have been reflected in this vision," stated Andriy Yermak.
He emphasized that President Zelensky's Peace Formula is based on the key principles of the UN Charter and international law, as well as respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries within their internationally recognized borders.
"These principles were unanimously identified by the participants of the meeting of advisors on national security, which took place in Jeddah," he added.
"The implementation of the Peace Formula is about restoring respect for the UN Charter and international law, which was undermined by Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine," added Andriy Yermak.
Additionally, the Head of the Office of the President informed media representatives about the further practical steps in implementing the Peace Formula.
"We will continue working to develop the agenda, the documents, conclusions, and agreements that we envisage for the implementation of each of the ten points of the Formula," he explained.
Andriy Yermak noted that there will be another meeting of ambassadors from participating countries in the near future to coordinate further actions. Practical steps for implementing each point of the Peace Formula will be developed, and preparations for the agenda of the founding Global Peace Summit will proceed simultaneously.
