Representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, commented on the information that the Private Military Company 'Redut' is recruiting mercenaries under the guise of "volunteers," including former 'Wagnerites'.

Andriy Yusov mentioned, "There are no private military companies in Russia. They call them that, but these are structures directly linked to Russian special services and other law enforcement agencies that follow Putin's regime's orders and receive financing from official and unofficial Russian budget sources. In this context, it's a hybrid tool that allows avoiding overt statistics, including casualties, which enables mobilization efforts without unduly disturbing public sentiments. In general, PMCs like 'Redut' are mercenaries, invaders, killers, mostly with experience. Although, in comparison with the 'Wagner' PMC, this is a less extensive project."

He also mentioned that mobilization efforts are ongoing in Russia. This includes recruiting prisoners, people with debts, insurance problems, and more. However, there is a lack of volunteers supporting the actions in Ukraine, "Skabeeva" or "Solovyov."

Yusev added, "If today you remove the barriers that stand behind the enemy on the front lines, most occupiers would turn around and leave, regardless of promises of financial aid. They lack motivation because they know they are invaders and occupiers. The problem is that nobody asks them. The Russian army is held together by force, fear, and cruelty, not only towards Ukrainians but also towards their own military personnel."
