The German defense company Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft is constructing a center for repairing armored vehicles in Ukraine. This information was shared by Markus Faber, a member of the German Bundestag, on social media.
"In western Ukraine, FFG – Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft – is building a repair center for armored vehicles that require maintenance, such as Leopard 1, which it supplied," wrote the politician from the Free Democratic Party.
According to him, this signifies a tremendous increase in efficiency for Ukraine since there will no longer be a need for expensive and labor-intensive transportation of damaged equipment abroad. Military personnel will be able to train their mechanics directly on-site.
Faber visited the location of the future center and asserts that "the money from German taxpayers is being used wisely." The liberal deputy expressed gratitude to FFG Ukraine for understanding and significant work.
It is worth noting that Faber consistently advocates for increased military assistance to Ukraine. Recently, he wrote on social media that Germany should transfer Taurus missiles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which would be capable of reducing the aggressor's offensive capabilities. He reminded that since the middle of last year, British StormShadow missiles have been assisting those targeted during Putin's expansionist war. "Since the middle of last year, someone in the chancellor's office can't find the stamp for the export permit – do the same as the British and the French."
"The return of occupier forces home is the foundation of peace. Ukrainians can motivate the occupiers to go home only through military pressure. Taurus helped create this pressure. Let's talk to Putin in a language he understands," wrote the deputy.
