The fourth stage has begun in Russia's war against Ukraine, Aleksey Arestovich, an adviser to the President's Office, said.
He said this in an interview with Yulia Latynina.
According to him, this stage was preceded by three previous ones:
- the beginning of a full-scale invasion and until the expulsion of Russian troops from the north of Ukraine;
- occupation of Lysychansk and Severodonetsk;
- unsuccessful attempts by the invaders to advance on Mykolaiv and Kryvyi Rih (from July 10 to August 10).
The fourth stage of the war, according to Arestovich, will last until winter - two to three months.
It will be characterized by the fact that the parties will stand still and hit each other than they can. But we have a much better chance of hitting for the simple reason that we have HIMARS, and they do not.
