On August 13 at 20:00, the Ukrainian film "The Taste of Freedom," directed by Oleksandr Berezanya, will be screened at GSC Quill City Mall in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
"Taste of Freedom" tells the story of a young woman named Varya, who loses her job because her fine dining skills are not needed at a roadside café. She escapes to Lviv to finally become a head chef at a European cuisine restaurant. However, a unique discovery—a book by the forgotten legend of Ukrainian cuisine, Olha Franco—changes her life forever.
The film is supported by the Ukrainian State Film Agency.
The screening is organized by the Embassy of Ukraine in Malaysia.
