The United Kingdom is investing a record £350 million this year to increase drone deliveries to Ukraine from a target of 10,000 in 2024 to 100,000 in 2025.

This was reported by the UK Ministry of Defence.

The record £350 million investment in drones for Ukraine is part of the UK’s military support totaling £4.5 billion this year.

“As Ukraine’s Armed Forces have demonstrated the effectiveness of drone warfare in defending against Putin’s illegal invasion, the UK has been doubling down on investment in drones with British defence companies, including small to medium sized enterprises, supporting the UK economy and jobs, as part of the government’s Plan for Change,” the Ministry of Defence said.

It was also noted that the UK will spend another £247 million this year on training Ukrainian military personnel. Under the Interflex operation, since 2022, basic combat training has been provided to over 55,000 Ukrainian recruits with support from 13 partner countries.

The Ministry of Defence also announced that at the Ukraine Defence Contact Group meeting (the “Ramstein” format) on Wednesday, Defence Secretary Ben Wallace will confirm the completion of deliveries of 140,000 artillery shells by the UK to Ukraine since the start of 2025.
