The overall pace of maritime operations in the Black Sea remains low due to Ukraine's actions, as it continues to successfully limit Russian naval activity in the eastern part of the sea.
This was reported by the UK Ministry of Defence on social media X, citing intelligence data.
The ministry notes that the Russian Navy (RF Navy) is increasingly aware of the threat of attacks from Ukraine, which is evident from frequent exercises aimed at countering surface and conventional drones in Novorossiysk and its surroundings.
The report further states that Ukraine "continues to undermine confidence in the Russian Black Sea Fleet, attempting to attack naval infrastructure and ships in the Black Sea."
Additionally, intelligence mentioned a massive missile strike on November 28, targeting critical national infrastructure in several regions of Ukraine. The strike included launches from Russian ships located in the Black Sea. Ukraine's Air Force reported that 28 cruise missiles were launched from land-based positions, and its air defense systems managed to intercept a significant percentage of the missiles fired both from the fleet and Russian long-range aviation.
