Canada will begin transferring 450 multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicles SkyRanger to Ukraine this summer, while Lithuania will allocate 3 million euros for FPV drones.

This was discussed at an extraordinary meeting of the Drone Coalition leadership group, which took place recently, according to the Ministry of Defense.

During the meeting, Ukraine informed its partners about the situation on the battlefield and the urgent needs to repel enemy attacks. It was decided that Canada would begin the transfer of 450 multi-purpose UAVs SkyRanger in the summer. Lithuania will allocate 3 million euros for the production of FPV drones for Ukraine. The Netherlands confirmed its intention to contract a batch of Heidrun RQ-35 drones for 200 million euros in cooperation with Denmark and Germany. Germany will transfer reconnaissance drones VECTOR 211.

"The situation on the front line is changing every day, the enemy continues to attack civilian objects, especially the energy infrastructure. We need tools for an asymmetric response. The time for discussing decisions is running out, we need it now," said Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Katerina Chernogor.

Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds called on everyone to remember that the war is ongoing, so it's time for all participants to join the support of the initiative, which is gaining momentum and expects the accession of new countries.

As noted by the Ministry of Defense, the Drone Coalition officially started within the work of the Contact Group on Defense Issues of Ukraine. The coalition is co-led by the United Kingdom and Latvia. Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, and Sweden have also joined the coalition.
