Irina Dmytryshyn and Agata Bonin translated the collection into French. The printed version was released in 2023 by Les éditions des femmes. Yakymchuk notes that their collection of audiobooks started in 1980. Additionally, the team from the French publishing house participates in marches in support of Ukraine every Saturday and donates to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The audiobook "Les Abricots du Donbas" is already available for purchase in French bookstores and on French audiobook platforms. Besides Deneuve, Yakymchuk's voice is also featured, as she narrated all the poem titles and several poems in Ukrainian. A fragment from "Les Abricots du Donbas," where Deneuve and Yakymchuk recite the poem "How to Make a Woman," is also published on the publisher's website.

Lyubov Yakymchuk is a Ukrainian poetess originally from the Luhansk region. In 2017, she became a laureate of the Kovaliv Foundation's American Prize in the category of "Poetry." Her collection, "Apricots of Donbass," was included in the ranking of the "10 Best Ukrainian Books on ATO (Anti-Terrorist Operation)" according to Ukrainian Forbes.
