Mobilized Bashkirs are attempting to avoid direct participation in the Russian army's combat actions on Ukrainian territory. This is aimed at preserving fighters for the continuation of the liberation movement in Bashkortostan.
This information was reported by the Center for National Resistance (CNR).
Members of the Ukrainian underground movement have noted the presence of corresponding preferences in the occupier's army based on ethnicity.
For instance, officers of Bashkir nationality are transferring their fellow countrymen to non-combat units and consistently rewarding them. Specifically, Bashkirs have been moved to the second echelon on the Kremlin front and near Avdiivka, limiting themselves to logistical support and repair-evacuation support for advanced Russian units.
"In this way, they are trying to protect the mobilized Bashkirs as much as possible to continue the national liberation movement in Bashkortostan. Against this background, Russian soldiers have repeatedly had conflicts with representatives of Tatar nationalities," the statement said.
