During the night of January 30, Russian forces struck one of the high-rise residential buildings in the city of Sumy. As a result of the drone strike, multiple apartments were destroyed, and the number of casualties continues to rise.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES).
"On January 30, the Russian forces struck a 10-story residential building in the city of Sumy. As a result of the attack, preliminary reports indicate that nine apartments and 12 balconies were destroyed," the statement reads.
According to SES, emergency responders managed to rescue four people, including a child, and evacuated 118 residents. Preliminary information indicates that 9 people, including one child, were injured in the attack. SES added that emergency rescue and search operations are still ongoing.

"In Sumy, rescuers have recovered the bodies of two people (a man and a woman) from the rubble. Search and rescue operations continue," SES reported.
