On the left bank of Kherson region, Russian occupiers are conducting troop rotations, during which they are suffering heavy losses: over the past two days, Ukrainian forces have struck 57 units of enemy weapons and military equipment.

This was reported by Colonel Oleksandr Zavtonov, spokesperson for the 30th Marine Corps.

“Currently, on the left bank of the Dnipro, Russian troops are rotating: units of the 70th Motorized Rifle Division are being replaced by paratroopers from the 98th Division. It is worth noting that this unit previously suffered serious losses during battles in Donbas. This process is accompanied by significant casualties for the Russian occupiers. That is why they attempt attacks on our rear areas, hoping to reduce our fire impact on their units, headquarters, command posts, and logistics routes,” Zavtonov said.

He added that intercepted communications reveal panic, with remarks such as: “we can’t lift our heads.”

“This clearly illustrates the difficult situation Russian troops face in our sector. Over the past two days, 57 units of enemy weapons and military equipment have been destroyed. We advise the incoming Russian airborne units to learn from the experience of their predecessors. The Ukrainian Marine Corps guarantees that conditions for the enemy will remain extremely difficult, and the damage inflicted will only intensify,” the spokesperson said.

He emphasized that, failing to achieve results on the battlefield, the occupiers try to compensate through terror against civilians. For example, in early August, the enemy carried out several airstrikes on Kherson’s transport infrastructure, including a bridge connecting the Korabel neighborhood to the city.

“Currently, we can say that this has not affected the overall situation in the defense sector of the 30th Marine Corps, but it has significantly complicated life for local residents. Such actions by the occupiers constitute deliberate terror against civilians. In other words, whenever the enemy suffers setbacks on the battlefield, it intensifies attacks on civilians,” the military officer noted.
