In Russia, one-third of fuel sector facilities have been damaged or struck as a result of Ukrainian military operations.
This was stated by Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Agency, in an interview with the Center for Countering Disinformation, published on December 6.
According to Yusov, these are facilities supplying fuel to Russian troops.
"There is statistics, there are open data. One-third [of the facilities on Russian territory] have been damaged or struck to varying extents. There are major problems with restoration because it involves imported equipment. Given the sanctions, there are significant difficulties with the supply of this equipment," said the Main Intelligence Agency representative.
He also added that these actions do not target civilian objects within Russian territory. Specifically, the Defense Forces are striking oil refineries that fuel Russian military vehicles, sell petroleum products, and finance the war against Ukraine.
