Priests of the UOC MP could be exchanged for Ukrainian soldiers, if such an offer were received, Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said in a comment to Channel 24.

The representative of military intelligence of Ukraine said that the Russians are most interested in exchanges, officers, people with specific knowledge and skills, and representatives of special military professions.

Answering the presenter's question about whether collaborators from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Ukraine can become part of the exchange fund if they are proven guilty, Andriy Yusov noted: "Using the example of the great exchange and the fate of Medvedchuk, Ukraine has shown that it is ready to demonstrate the most creative approaches to return its citizens home. Ukraine will use the smallest opportunities that will appear for this - formal and informal, public and non-public, open and closed," Andriy Yusov said.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, since the beginning of the full-scale war, 1,286 Ukrainian soldiers have been exchanged.

Andriy Yusov reminded that recent exchanges have been taking place with fairly high intensity. Over the past week, 3 exchanges took place within 4 days - almost 100 Ukrainians returned home from enemy captivity.
