Russian invaders are conducting reconnaissance and preparing for assault operations on the Orikhiv and Hulyaipole directions of the front.
As reported by Ukrinform, this was stated by the spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshin, in a TV broadcast.
"The situation in the southern direction is quite difficult because the enemy is actively conducting assault operations in the Vremivka area. They also continue their activities in the Dnipropetrovsk, or so-called Kherson direction. The enemy is carrying out reconnaissance and preparing for assaults on both the Orikhiv and Hulyaipole directions," the spokesperson informed.
According to him, the Russian forces conducts counter-battery combat every day, shells the positions of the Defense Forces and frontline settlements, and also launches missile and drone strikes.
"When it comes to assaults, they are carried out in different directions, for example, in the Vremivka and Dnipropetrovsk areas. These are various assaults, but they are made by small infantry groups consisting of five to ten people. Their goal is to advance as far as possible, and then follow-up groups come to secure the positions," Voloshin explained.
He noted that in the Dnipropetrovsk direction, six Russian assaults were recorded, and in the Vremivka direction, about seven. The Russian forces also attempted to advance towards the settlement of Novodarivka in the Vremivka direction.
"In the Orikhiv and Hulyaipole directions, the enemy is preparing for assault operations by small infantry groups. There is indeed a concentration of some assault groups, but these are small units. These small infantry groups are involved in these assaults," Voloshin said.
The spokesperson concluded that several dozen such assault groups are being prepared in the Orikhiv and Hulyaipole directions. Additionally, the occupiers are preparing a small number of mobile armored groups.
Furthermore, according to intelligence, there is an Russian forcesaccumulation of drones on these directions. Specifically, the Russian army is constantly conducting aerial and engineering reconnaissance to identify routes for moving these groups and future assault locations.
