Defense Forces shoot down 30 of 38 drones in overnight Russian attack on Ukraine

On the night of August 13th, Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully shot down 30 out of 38 Russian Shahed-type attack drones.

The news was announced by the Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleschuk, via Telegram.

According to General Oleschuk, Russia launched the attack from the Voronezh region with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 38 Shahed drones from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk areas.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces, including mobile fire teams, aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, and electronic warfare systems, engaged in an air defense battle, downing the enemy drones across the Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia, Sumy, Kirovohrad, Kherson, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Cherkasy regions.
