In Kyiv, a significant meeting took place between Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Defense, Dmytro Klimenkov, Denmark's Minister of Defense, Troels Lund Poulsen, and Managing Director of the Peace, Security, and Defense Department of the European External Action Service, Benedikta von Seherr-Thoss.

The focus of the meeting was on new opportunities for developing Ukraine’s defense industry and the next steps to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities during the full-scale war.

"Ukraine is sincerely grateful to Denmark for its unwavering support during this extremely difficult time for our country. The investments that Denmark is directing towards the development of Ukraine’s defense industry and the modernization of military capabilities are of immense importance to us," emphasized Dmytro Klimenkov.

Denmark became the first country to invest in Ukraine's defense industry, launching a unique form of cooperation known as the "Danish model." This model provides for direct funding of the production of Ukrainian military equipment amounting to over 50 million euros.

Ukraine has already received its first artillery samples, financed by Denmark. This approach allows Ukraine to strengthen its defense capabilities and develop its own production capacities, even during the war.

The meeting once again underscored the importance of international cooperation and solidarity in countering Russian aggression. The parties expressed their readiness to continue joint efforts to enhance Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
