Russians have definitively abandoned the repair of their military ships at facilities in Crimea, fearing the possibility of Ukrainian strikes.
This was stated by the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk, during a telethon.
"We have already proven in practice that using repair bases for the Russian Black Sea Fleet will no longer work. To repair ships, they first need to be brought there, but now no one will do that," Pletenchuk said.
He reminded that Ukraine had destroyed the small missile ship Cyclone in Sevastopol Bay, struck the submarine Rostov-on-Don twice, and also hit the small missile ship Askold in Kerch.
"These examples suggest to the Russians that it is fundamentally impossible to use Crimea for ship repairs," the spokesperson concluded.
