The Russians are trying to restore the storm-damaged protection of the Crimean Bridge, which was installed to counter Ukrainian naval drone attacks.

This was stated by the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Navy, Captain 3rd Rank Dmytro Pletenchuk, during a national telethon.

"They are trying to use any opportunity to restore these structures. Of course, the stormy season in the Black Sea is quite long. The Kerch Strait also experiences quite turbulent weather. In this sense, it adjusts the plans of the Russian occupiers, but they are taking maximum measures to protect this illegal structure," he said.

According to him, there are currently no signs of decreased Russian activity. The Russian forces have heavily "saturated" the bridge with layered air defense systems.

He also noted that since ferries are not operational, the Russians are forced to supply fuel to their groups via the Crimean Bridge. However, due to previous damage inflicted by Ukrainian forces, they cannot heavily load it with railway tankers.
