The Netherlands, as part of the drone coalition, have already begun providing UAVs to Ukraine. Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren mentioned this in an interview with Delfi.
"I cannot specify the exact number, but we have already started transferring UAVs to Ukraine... The drone coalition is very important because now we are combining efforts, which means we can increase the number of UAVs... according to Ukraine's needs," Ollongren noted.
She reminded that the Netherlands are actively participating in the coalition for air defense, "for example, with Patriot systems, as well as with F-16s, which are also in the process."
Ollongren confirmed that training of Ukrainians for F-16 flights and maintenance is ongoing.
"We are also preparing the aircraft for actual transfer. We announced that we will transfer 24 F-16 aircraft... together with Denmark, as well as Norway, as soon as possible. But everything needs to be ready... I am confident that this year we will be able to start their transfer," the Dutch Defense Minister noted.
Ukraine and Latvia initially created the Drone and EW (Electronic Warfare) Coalition. Later, it was joined by the United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Lithuania, Estonia, and the Netherlands.
