During the first week of 2024 (from January 1 to January 8), the strike units of the "Drone Army" project destroyed 228 occupiers and 182 fortified positions.
This information comes from the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation, in collaboration with the General Staff, has equipped 43 strike units of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). These units are equipped with new off-road vehicles, Peugeot Landtrek.
Favbet, a company, purchased 53 such off-road vehicles for the strike units of the UAV "Army of Drones."
"During the past week, the strike units of the UAVs hit 182 fortified positions. These are reinforced positions where a lot of enemy firepower is concentrated. It is from these positions that the Russians shell the positions of the Defense Forces. In addition, our UAV operators hit 19 enemy tanks, 40 combat armored vehicles, 29 artillery pieces, and 33 Russian trucks," stated the minister.
According to him, drones have become true game-changers in this war. They destroy the Russian forces, change the situation on the battlefield, and save the lives of our military.
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, the Defense Forces of the country, with the support of the Favbet Foundation, have received 260 vehicles. Also, with the foundation's support, 130 drones of various types, including strike drones, have been delivered to advanced units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
