The Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down 57 Russian Shahed attack drones and other types of UAVs, while 39 decoy drones were lost from radar tracking.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
Starting at 8:00 PM on Sunday, January 26, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine with 104 Shahed attack drones and various types of decoy UAVs from multiple directions, including Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Chauda (occupied Crimea).
The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire teams from the Air Force and Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 9:00 AM on Monday, January 27, the confirmed downing of 57 Shahed attack drones and other UAVs was recorded across Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
